Austin Recovery Center: Treatments, Programs, and Staff
Austin Recovery’s Transformational Treatment Model is a combination of evidence-based practices, experience-based treatment, individual and group counseling, and the 12-Step philosophy. The model is integrated into every aspect of the recovery, including residential and outpatient rehabilitation.
Another focus of group therapy is relapse prevention. For clients with co-occurring disorders medications can be provided.
The center offers two types of residential treatment programs:
- The first option is a short-term residential program that lasts 30 days. This is a good option for individuals who are trying to recover from drug use for the first time, or for clients who have relapsed.
- Journey program is a long-term rehabilitation model that lasts 90 days. Given the fact that recovery takes time, this treatment modality might be the right choice for the majority of clients, especially for those who do not have a reliable support system at home.
Program for women with children called Family House provides a home-like environment for mothers and their children. Daycare is provided for the little ones during therapy sessions and other activities. Also, along with regular treatment, women can attend parenting classes, educational sessions regarding addiction, and family therapy that helps with setting up boundaries and re-building healthy relationships within the family. Three meals a day are provided for both mom and a kid.
Outpatient program at Austin Recovery Center includes individual and group therapy sessions based on cognitive-behavioral approach. Clients attend therapy meetings according to their individual plan, but spend nights at home.
Aftercare treatment is designed so that the finishers of residential phase can apply their newly acquired skills and knowledge to maintain sobriety indefinitely. The focus is on group therapy and 12-step meetings so the client can develop interaction skills.
The staff at the Austin Recovery Center includes nurses, counselors, and therapists.
