Woodglen Recovery Junction was established in 1990 and since then has been helping thousands of individuals in their fight against alcohol and drug addiction. The mission at Woodglen Recovery Junction is to understand the underlying issues that perpetuate the disease of addiction and then treat those issues to ensure lasting recovery for the individual. During treatment, clients’ minds and spirits are healed through quality services, compassion, tolerance, acceptance, and education. Clients are educated regarding addiction in a positive and uplifting environment which helps them regain their self-confidence and self-respect. This enables them to get their life back on the right track with the help of a higher power and their inner resilience and determination. The center offers detoxification services, a residential program, and aftercare services. The 12-step philosophy of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is deeply rooted in the foundations of Woodglen Recovery Junction. Clients are required to participate in regular AA meetings and book studies. They are offered therapeutic treatment activities, spiritual guidance, meditation, and recreational therapy. Clients are also offered vocational training which helps them in acquiring the life skills needed to secure a good job after leaving the facility and live independently as a healthy, happy, and productive member of the community.

Housing and Food

Woodglen Recovery Junction is located in the 1887 historic Porter Ranch house in Fullerton, California. It is a 28-bed facility where male and female patients stay on different floors of the same building. Clients stay in shared rooms which are furnished with beds, closets, and side tables for each one. Bathrooms are also shared among residents. There is another male dormitory where some male clients are shifted if their number exceeds the number of beds available in the main facility. The campus also has common rooms for male and female patients that are comfortable, cozy, and equipped with a TV. Clients can watch movies on Friday and Saturday nights. Clients are offered various opportunities for recreation such as sports, yoga, meditation, exercise, and other leisure activities. There is a back patio, a volleyball court, and a gym where clients can spend their free time. Clients are offered spiritual education and they also take part in community service as part of their schedules. The campus has a large kitchen and a team of in-house chefs prepare meals for clients three times a day. Meals are served in the large dining hall where all residents eat together. Food allergies and dietary restrictions of clients are also accommodated.

They offer the 90-day residential program for which the total cost is $10,000 which can be paid upfront or in three installments as outlined by the finance department. However, the center also offers sliding scale costs for individuals who cannot afford the full treatment cost. Woodglen Recovery Junction also receives public funding which is used to pay for the treatment costs of indigent and poor clients. The center accepts cash, credit card, and checks for payment.
