The Genen Group Overview

The genen group was created with the concept of happier living in mind. It originated in southern California. The Genen Group is a behavioral health treatment facility that aims to make life easier for its patients by improving both mental and physical health, this center treats cases such as depression, anxiety, life skills, medication management, and substance abuse. The center uses a program called PERFiC life as a template when treating its patients. PERFiC is an acronym which represents physical health, emotional wellness, relationships, financial health, and career/passion, using this template, the best of care is given to every client that comes seeking treatment. The holistic approach is used in patient treatment along with cognitive based treatment(CBT), meditation, mindfulness and various therapies made available by the center. Each new intake meets with a psychiatrist to determine the mental state and well-being of the patient and this knowledge is in turn used to design a specific treatment plan that will help the patient recover in an optimal amount of time. There is no additional treatment available.

Accommodation And Meals

The Genen Group has its primary location in Los Angeles but also has facilities in Newport and Brentwood beach. This facility accepts both men and women. The facilities are beautifully designed with very bright and warm colors to liven up patients’ mood while living within its walls. There is a beachfront and a picturesque view which helps patients relax, giving them a warm comforting feeling and sense of belonging. There are various recreational spots where residents can take a break and chill. Meals are served thrice a day, with the help of a nutritionist on staff meals are designed to help further the treatment of the patients at the center.

Inpatient Treatment

This is an intensive treatment plan where clients check into the center and are secluded from the outside environment for a given number of days while they receive treatment and recover.

Outpatient Treatment

This treatment program suits patients who cannot devote all their time checking into a facility due to work or family, an online consultation is made available and also scheduled group meeting every week to help the client receive treatment.

Finance

A stay at any of the homes in The Genen Group costs $200-$450 per session. For long-term patients, the cost will be given based on the treatment required and length of stay. Insurance is accepted by this center, clients may call the center to find out which treatment plans are covered by insurance.

Lawrence Genen
Founder, Director of Psychiatry
Lawrence holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Emory and went to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he completed an internship (surgical). He also went to Tufts University School of Medicine where he earned a Medical Degree and a Master’s in Business Administration degree and the University of Hawaii where he completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry.
Holly Schwartz
Psychiatrist
Holly holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Cell Science (with a minor in Anthropology and Chemistry) from the University of Florida where she graduated Cum Laude and went to Florida State University where she earned a Medical degree. She moved on to the University of California where she completed a residency in Adult Psychiatry and continued training in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
