Grant Street Partnership Overview

Grant Street Partnership, located in New Haven, Connecticut, is a treatment center that provides outpatient treatment track to individuals with substance abuse issues. With over 30 years in operation, the facility provides services to adults with substance abuse issues. The facility offers its partial hospitalization program in place of residential treatment to homeless men, providing housing to them during treatment. Treatment modalities used is heavily based on 12-step, which implements cognitive behavioral therapy and also provides support for dual diagnosis.
The facility does not currently offer detox on-site, although the facility will refer clients to Cornell Scott Hill Rehab for detox. At every point in the treatment program at the facility, services such as 12-step education, medical care, group therapy, Alcoholics, and Narcotics Anonymous meetings, and individual therapy must be incorporated. Clients who need additional treatment for co-occurring disorders will find support here, as the facility offers medication management and psychiatric evaluations.
The average duration of stay for the intensive outpatient program offered at the facility is six weeks. The first 10 days in the program features very intensive treatment, each group holds for four hours and clients are required to attend four groups a day. Individual therapy is scheduled for clients based on the therapist or client’s request. Clients in the outpatient track are required to attend therapy one to three times per week for two hours. Clients in the outpatient track can choose between individual and group therapy.
The staff at the facility comprises of Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, on-site medical doctors, and a psychiatrist that visits four times weekly. Clients in the shelter or housing receive 24-hour care, but there are no medical doctor on-site

Accommodation and Food

The facility only offers shelter to clients in the partial hospitalization treatment track. All clients are required to eat three meals a day and take care of their beds during the night. Client’s progress and advancement during treatment will determine the duration of stay in any of the programs.

Ece has many years of experience working in the behavioral health sector ranging from outpatient and inpatient substance abuse, dual diagnosis, to buprenorphine, detoxification, methadone, and many more. She completed her residency at the Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency (University of Maryland) and is board certified to practice addiction and geriatric psychiatry.

Clark holds a Bachelor’s degree from the Central Connecticut State University in Business Management and a Master’s degree from the University of New Haven in Business Administration. Prior to working at the facility, he served at Health Net for over 11 years.
