Caron Renaissance is a longer term extended care rehab and behavioral center situated in the city of Boca Raton, Florida. Formerly known as the Renaissance Institute of Palm Beach, the facility was acquired by the Caron Foundation and renamed to its current moniker in 2003.

The facility offers an option for an extended stay for those wanting to continue their rehabilitation after undergoing treatment at the Caron facility in Pennsylvania.

Caron offers both outpatient and inpatient treatment programs for the convenience of its clients. They follow the well-known Florida Model of substance abuse treatment where outpatient clinical services are offered at one location while residential programs are housed in another.

Accommodation and Food at Caron Renaissance

Caron Renaissance is a pioneer of the Florida Model and continues to improve on it. Residents are housed in separate quarters and receive drug rehabilitation and clinical treatment in separate buildings. The facility has a capacity for housing 120 residents. They are all housed in an apartment-style building with an accompanying swimming pool.

The residents are expected to make a minimum commitment of 90 days stay at the campus. After the completion of the mandatory period of stay, the team at the facility may advise a further extension to the client’s stay. Such recommendations usually depend upon the client’s level of progress and further needs.

Caron Renaissance charges $15,000 for 30 days stay at the facility with residential treatment programs lasting for a minimum 90 days. They make a commitment to work with their clients to explore all payment options. They are flexible with regards to fee payment. Partial scholarships–Caron Treatment Center provides financial assistance to clients who need it through partial scholarships awarded every year. The funds for the scholarship are generated through fundraisers and donations by alumni.

Zero-interest financing – Caron has long-term partnerships with two lending companies M-lend Financial and Prosper. They offer clients financing at zero interest rates for one year or at a fixed low rate for two years depending upon the client’s needs and eligibility.

Medical director

Dr. Anthony Campo is the medical director at Caron Renaissance. He is in charge of overseeing the medical department at the facility comprising of psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and a neuropsychologist. He has degrees from Boston College and Columbia University and attended medical school at St. George’s University in Grenada.

Robert Johnson
Clinical director

Robert Johnson currently serves as clinical director at Caron Renaissance and specializes in psychotherapy and sexual compulsivity. He joined the facility in 1996 and has formerly served as Primary Therapist and as Director of Family and Specialty Services. He is a Certified Trauma Therapist (C.T.T.) in Texas, a Board Certified Sex Therapist (CST) in Florida, and has served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Ryan Hanson
Executive director

Ryan Hanson is the director of family services at Caron. He is in charge of overseeing the programming at the family department as well as coordinating clinically with patients and their families. He has over 15 years of experience in working towards combating teen and adult mental health and chemical dependency. He has a Masters degree in counseling from Hazelden Graduate School.
