Overview of Pathways Center

Pathways Center is a behavioral health facility that offers treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults for substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. The mission of Pathways Center is to help individuals start a new path in their lives by breaking the bonds of addiction and mental health disorders. The center offers a number of outpatient services that are age-specific. These include case management, assertive community treatment, peer support services, and psychological rehabilitation services. The center also offers 24/7 Crisis Residential services which provide medically-monitored, community-based residential treatment services for psychiatric crisis stabilization and detoxification. Clients are taught how to become self-sufficient and offered assistance in finding and maintaining housing, health maintenance, management of financial matters, and development of natural supports. Pathways Center also offers a Supported Living program for adults aged 18 and above where they are taught recovery-oriented skill building, vocational and job skills, social skills, and medication management. The Intensive Residential Treatment (IRT) program for children and adolescents is targeted specifically to youths that are court-referred due to incompetence to stand trial. They are offered psychoeducation and competency restoration interventions which help them cope with their circumstances and develop life skills needed to lead a healthy and happy life.

Housing and Food at Pathways Center

Pathways Center is located in Carrollton, Georgia in a spacious, country setting. The center offers outpatient services to clients in a private and comfortable environment. The campus comprises one main building which consists of several rooms designated for therapies and meetings. The residential rooms for clients are also comfortably furnished where two to three clients share a room. All rooms are comfortably furnished and adequately decorated to give a warm and welcoming atmosphere to clients. The therapy and meeting rooms for children and adolescents are decorated in vibrant colors and paintings to make them feel comfortable and at home. There is a common waiting room where clients and families can relax and wait. The center offers a number of therapeutic and healthy recreational activities for clients including sports and leisure activities. The center has a cafeteria on the premises where a team of kitchen staff prepares different food items and snacks. Clients, families, and staff members have a variety of food options to choose from at the cafeteria. The food items are healthy, nutritious, and freshly prepared each day. A number of beverages and drinks are also available at the cafeteria. Vending machines are available at various points in the building from where clients can get drinks and snacks.

Pathways Center offers outpatient and residential services to children, adolescents, and adults for substance abuse and behavioral health disorders. The center assesses clients and creates individualized plans for each one of them. Depending on the treatment services involved in the individualized treatment plans, the cost varies for each client. The center accepts insurance plans of certain companies including Medicare, Medicaid, and PeachCare. The center also offers sliding scale costs to clients who are unable to pay for treatment out-of-pocket. The staff at the admissions office guides clients about all financial matters and provides assistance in verifying their insurance benefits.
