Volunteers of America Southeast is a state-funded organization that offers services in a number of fields. One of their services is the Behavioral Health Program which works together with state agencies and local community service providers. The services are provided at the Millenium Center campus which is located in Cuthbert, Georgia. The center offers treatment services to women suffering from alcoholism, substance abuse, and behavioral health disorders. The gender-specific program for women provides women with a safe and secure environment where they can freely communicate and vent their feelings which otherwise would not have been possible in a co-ed environment. Patients are offered drug/alcohol screening, evaluations, crisis intervention, and counseling as part of treatment. The facility also offers special programs for mothers with children. Childcare facilities are also offered for such families undergoing treatment at the Millennium Center. The center also offers job counseling/placement and housing assistance to women. This provides women with the assurance and confidence that they would be able to take care of themselves and their families after completing their treatment through good jobs and housing opportunities. Women are empowered to leave their problems behind and successfully transition back into the society after leaving the facility.

Housing and Food at Volunteers of America Southeast Millennium Center

Volunteers of America Southeast Millennium Center is located in the small city of Cuthbert which is in the Randolph County of Georgia. The campus serves as a small, peaceful, safe, and secure facility where women can start their journey of healing from alcohol and drug addiction as well as behavioral health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and other psychiatric issues. The residential facility can accommodate 20 women with their children. Patients stay in modernly-built and decorated duplex apartments which consist of a master bedroom, attached bathroom, living room, and a kitchenette. The rooms are fully furnished and offer all basic amenities. Living rooms are equipped with TVs with cable and Wifi. The living rooms are also furnished comfortably in sofas, tables, lamps, and wall hangings. The center provides on-site laundry services to residents. The meeting rooms and counseling rooms are located in a separate building where residents are required to report during meetings and counseling sessions. All residents prepare their own meals in the kitchenettes in the apartments. All ingredients and required items are provided by the administration. The residents can request for special ingredients which the center tries to provide for them.
