Located in Moultrie, Georgia, Turning Point was founded almost 25 years ago to provide help to those who are struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The center offers both residential and outpatient services, as well as detox and medication management according to the need.

Turning Point: Treatments, Programs, and Staff

Medically supervised detox is the first step in the recovery process at Turning Point. Highly trained medical staff provides medications and around the clock monitoring in order to ease withdrawal symptoms.

The next step in the continuum of care is inpatient program which is tailored to accommodate the specific needs of each patient. The treatment is conducted through individual and group therapy, as well as training sessions and 12-step meetings. Counseling sessions are based on cognitive-behavioral approach and dialectical behavioral therapy.

Outpatient program includes partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient program.

Facilities and Extras

The center is located on a beautiful 30-acre property with hiking trails and a pond.

The male facility is located in the main building, while the female lodge is in a separate part of the campus. Both buildings provide a temporary home for 14 residents. Shared rooms are equipped with twin beds, closets, and a desk. Common areas include TV, dining room, offices, and therapy rooms.

Three meals a day are provided and served cafeteria-style.

Clients can occasionally enjoy long walks, yoga classes, and hikes.

Rules and Regulations at Turning Point

Smoking is allowed in designated areas. Only one coffee a day is allowed – morning coffee, while snacks are reserved for the evening.

The cost of a 21-day stay at the center is $14,700.
