Victory Home Overview

Victory Home was first founded in 1959 by Reverend Bill Cadle, which use the Christian learning and the guidance provided by God, himself, has successfully helped over 10,000 patients since the opening of the facility. The Victory Home is strictly a male-only rehabilitation center, offering its help to substance abuse patients who are looking for a way to get better. The Victory Home has a unique work-study program as well as spiritual teachings as a part of the treatment programs at Victory Home.
This means that during their stay, the patients are required to participate actively in the cooking, and cleaning activities around the facility as well as attend to therapy sessions and bible studies on a daily level. The residential treatment program is the only program that is to be found at Victory Home. Unfortunately, there is no option for an outpatient treatment program or an intensive outpatient program (IOP) which are commonly found at the other rehabilitation centers. That is because, Victory Home believes that staying on the grounds of the facility at all times during the treatment program, completing chores and participating in the assigned therapies is the only way to actually get better and make something of yourself in the future. An interesting thing to know about Victory Home is the chance that the patients get as soon as they successfully finish their treatment program.
A few lucky patients get the chance to become the next counselors at Victory Home. At Victory Home, no professional counselors are to be found. The staff consists of religious people, and former addicts who use their knowledge and experience on the topic are helping future patients. Every patient who has successfully finished his treatment at Victory Home is provided with help upon enrolling in school or looking for a full-time job as a way of being able to provide for themselves and live independently.

Victory Home Housing

Victory Home’s residential facility offers to accommodate around 30-40 patients at a time. The patients are accommodated in a dorm-style facility where they are required to share bedrooms with each other. Two-three patients share one bedroom, and there is a bathroom for the whole floor as well which is meant to be shared. Other bathrooms are to be found around the facility as well.
There are classrooms and offices at the facility as well. The cafeteria is the place where three hot meals are served each day. The meals are prepared by the patients themselves. Each week, a different group of patients is assigned to work in the kitchen, following a weekly menu. The patients also participate in cleaning the facility and the outside that surrounds it as well.
