Overview of Ben Gordon Center

The Ben Gordon Center works under the Northwestern Medicine Services and provides treatment services to adolescents and adults for substance abuse and mental health issues. The duration of the intensive outpatient program is two months on average. After the completion of IOP, clients can transition to the outpatient program where they follow a less rigorous and less-intensive schedule. The clients are also offered aftercare services through weekly meetings and sessions which enable them to prevent relapse and maintain their recovery.

The Ben Gordon Center is located in the city of DeKalb, Illinois at about a two-hour distance from Chicago. The center offers outpatient and intensive outpatient services in an old rustic building which has been renovated to provide modern interiors to clients. The campus offers its services in a safe, private, and confidential environment where clients can start their healing journey alongside their normal personal and professional lives. Since the center does not offer any inpatient services, there are no residential facilities for clients. The building comprises several therapy rooms and meeting rooms where clients are offered individual or group sessions. The rooms are aesthetically decorated to provide a warm and comfortable atmosphere so that clients can leave their worries behind and focus on the process of healing and recovery. There are common rooms and waiting rooms where clients and their families can relax and watch TV during the time they wait. The center has a cafeteria where fresh snacks and fast food is provided for clients, staff, and families. The food is freshly prepared and contains a variety of options including salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pizza. A number of non-alcoholic drinks and juices are also available.

Payment Options at Ben Gordon Center

Ben Gordon Treatment Center offers individualized treatment services to adolescents and adults for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Each client is assessed and evaluated at the time of admission, and a personalized treatment plan is created for him/her. Depending on the personalized plan, the cost of treatment is estimated for each client. The cost of one session of individual counseling is $120 whereas the cost of one session of group counseling is $90. The center also works with some insurance providers and accepts their plans for payment of treatment costs.
