The Stepping Stone Treatment Center, a private, non-profit facility for persons dealing with substance use and mental health disorders, is located in the city of Joliet, Illinois. The center has been serving the people of Will County since 1971 and was brought to life from the vision of some Alano Club members and with the help of the Joliet City government. This collaboration led to the construction of the Joliet Halfway House which became the Stepping Stones, Inc. in 1991.
