Vista Maria founded since 1883 as an orphanage is now one of the most reputable rehab centers in Dearborn Heights Michigan. This facility provides both therapy and on-campus schooling for Detroit’s most defenseless girls especially in terms of addiction and substance abuse.
Being over 135 years old, the Vista Maria slowly evolved to being a community-based organization which targets to treat their patients physically, mentally and spiritually. Although this facility was established as a nursing cover for adolescent girls, they do not accept walk-ins. Only patients referred to by the county, court or foster home care are admitted currently.

The facility also has both middle and high schools, with classes taking place all year round. The school comes with wooded areas, a swimming pool, and vast outdoor space for extracurricular activities. Located in the serene environment of DearbornHeights, this facility serves their meals in a massive well -structured cafeteria and the facility’s chef follows Nutritional standards set by the former First Lady of America Michelle Obama.
Vista Maria contains an on-site chapel which services are held and also two newly launched sophisticated mental health buildings. On campus, this facility also provided a recreational therapist who helps the girls through a variety of planned activities. These may include:

Treatment Options at Vista Maria

Since all patients administered in this facility are referred to from foster homes or the court, Vista Maria does not have a detox program.
Mental health and wellness is the foundation that Maria Vista was laid upon. They take it seriously, serious enough to offer a wide range of services to its patients. Client’s are administered evidence-based therapies like Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Rational Emotive Therapy and DBT. They also offer Group Therapy which may include a selection of art recovery, relapse prevention, life skills, meditation, boundaries, trauma, and meditation.
Vista Maria can take up to 165 residents, and also about 200 staffs. This facility made it possible that the staff-to-ratio is about one to four.

Holding the position since July 2003, Meredith is in charge of the integration of mental health and physical health services on the campus. She has 20 years of experience in the mental health and trauma sector and holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy.
