New beginnings Minnesota is located about an hour from Minnesota and is situated around Waverly lake. New beginnings Minnesota is a rehabilitation center that treats drug and alcohol addiction with the utmost importance giving patients the best care and have been providing treatment for over 30 years to the residents of Minnesota and other willing patients from other communities. This is an affordable center. The treatment plans include 12 stage education program, CBT(Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), motivational interviewing, outpatient treatment (which can be found in any one of the 10 new beginning treatment centers) and psychiatric evaluation by a professional. New beginnings Minnesota also cater to patients that require dual diagnostic treatment. The target demographic is men and women, while kids and adolescents are not treated in this rehabilitation center. The center makes known its philosophy to treat alcohol and drug abuse to all parties concerned. it is treated as a lifetime commitment by both the client and center. There are aftercare options and the client may choose to stay in a sober living environment or halfway house. The staff here is committed to making the stay of their clients as comfortable as possible such that it fosters quick recovery from addiction.

Housing and Food

The new beginnings Minnesota center has two separate dorms for men and women, they are not allowed to interact unless under supervision. The ratio of men to women in the center is around 3 to 1. The male hostel is supervised by male staff and the same goes for the female hostel. The rooms have two beds and minimal decorations which include the basic lamp, mirror, and other extras. There is a recreational facility on the site for residents to be able to receive treatment and keep in shape while at it, exercise machines like weights and treadmills are readily available, gear for outdoor sports such as basketball, volleyball, and kickball are readily available. All these for clients who have an interest in recreational activities. Weekend softball and other outdoor games are organized by the center. The staff which resides on campus are responsible for the upkeep of the surroundings and equipment. Residents eat three square meals a day all of which are served in the cafeteria, there is a salad bar where clients can get different foods to snack on.

The facility offers some modes of therapy. These include:

Men's Residential Treatment Program

This is a male-centered treatment program with the plans designed to fit the needs of each man and factor in the surrounding. Therapies are available individually and also in a group.

Women Residential Treatment Program

In this program, the women live in a separate environment and treated separately in a safe and conducive environment where they are allowed to concentrate on their treatments and recovery. Plans are designed based on what is needed by each woman.

Outpatient Treatment Program

In this treatment plan, care and quality treatment are given to those who need help while still in the community, it is also for those who have received treatment before a special plan is designed to fit the client’s needs.
