The facility originally started as an inpatient treatment center for adults but currently offers a wide range of treatment programs for patients. Since its beginning, the facility has catered to individuals from all of Mississippi’s counties and several foreign countries. The facility boasts of being the state of Mississippi’s largest addiction treatment center for individuals battling substance and psychiatric disorders and utilizes cross-disciplinary expertise and treatment methods that directly and effectively address addiction. Pine Grove understands that addiction is a complex and developmental disease with damaging consequences and emphasizes the 12-step system as well as holistic treatment methods as sure paths to long-lasting recovery. The facility offers various forms of treatment programs which include inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs and treats various forms of illnesses ranging from substance abuse and sexual disorders to autism and sleep disorders. The center also offers dual diagnosis treatment and detoxification programs. Pine Grove offers a Next Step Program exclusively for men, which involves a host of programs including inpatient detoxing, trauma groups, therapy, relapse prevention, and many others. The facility also has an addiction treatment center exclusive to women battling chemical dependency, substance abuse, mood disorders, and other illnesses. Both treatment programs offer a gender-specific and safe type of treatment where individuals work together to achieve full recovery.

Housing and Food

The organization has treatment facilities in Hattiesburg, Mississippi which is a medical and educational center for thousands of individuals who live throughout the southeast region of Mississippi. These centers offer some special programs which include Gratitude programs, Men’s Next Step, Legacy program, and The Women’s Center. The programs each have inpatient treatment options for clients and may last up to three months. Men and women are accommodated on separate facilities. The center for women is located in a peaceful environment and the program takes place in a beautiful inn. The facility also has an outdoor pool, kitchen, and bedrooms which are shared—three per room. The men eat home cooked, southern-style meals at the campus’ dining hall in a cafeteria-style; however, they are expected to cook their own meals on the weekends.

Gary went to the William Carey University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and The University of Mississippi Medical Center where he earned a Doctorate degree (doctor of medicine) and completed his psychiatric residency. He holds a postgraduate diploma, Master’s degree, and diploma in Medicine (Evidence-based), Experimental Therapeutics, and Theological studies respectively.

Roopsi Baasi

Psychiatrist

Roopsi holds a degree from the Government Medical College and Hospital located in India at Chandigarh. She went to The University of Mississippi Medical Center where she completed her residency and is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association. She has been working at the facility since 2015.

Siddeequah Bilal

Psychiatrist

She completed her residency and holds a Bachelor’s degree from The University of Mississippi Medical Center. Siddeequah is board certified to practice psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She handles outpatient services and just joined the facility in 2018.
