Located in Gadsden, Alabama, Mountain View Hospital was founded way back in 1918 to provide help to patients with tuberculosis as a “fresh air camp”.
Since 1979, the hospital provides substance abuse treatment services for clients struggling with addiction. Although in the beginning the facility provided only residential detox and follow-up treatment, today its primary function is partial hospitalization. The center does not provide inpatient services except for teenagers dealing with mental health issues.
Mountain View Hospital: Treatments, Programs, and Staff
Outpatient program at the Mountain View Hospital provides case management, medication management, psychiatric evaluation, family therapy, employee assistance, and individual counseling. Additionally, outpatient detox can be provided if needed.
Partial hospitalization program provides support and treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse without interruption to their family life. Through the day clients attend therapy sessions, while in the evening they go home to spend time with their loved ones. Some of the subjects addressed during group therapy sessions include:

Family therapy and individual counseling are conducted according to person’s unique needs. The treatment is based on cognitive-behavioral therapy. Services included in Partial Hospitalization program are:

The staff of the center includes physicians, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and counselors.
Mountain View Hospital: Facilities and Extras
The hospital has the capacity to accommodate 68 clients with additional 40 beds for teenagers in the psychiatric residential facility.
Mountain View Hospital has a special residential unit for teenagers with mental health problems.
Rules and Regulations
Therapy sessions within Partial Hospitalization Program are conducted Monday 12 PM to 5 PM and Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Mountain View Hospital provides partial hospitalization and outpatient services for individuals struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues. Additionally, the center offers residential treatment for adolescents with psychiatric conditions. The treatment is based on cognitive behavioral approach in both individual and group settings.
