Overview of The Hampstead Hospital

The Hampstead Hospital was founded in 1974 and has the honor of being the first private psychiatric hospital to be licensed by the state of New Hampshire. It is located in a small town in southern New Hampshire. Built across 100 acres of beautiful hills, landscapes and woodlands, it provides treatment services for chemical dependency and psychiatric problems. Its location is very convenient; just an hour’s drive from Boston. The treatment programs include Behavioral Speciality Services, Drug and Alcohol Treatment Service, Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Services and Adult Psychiatric Services. These programs are part of an intensive inpatient treatment for patients suffering from acute psychiatric illnesses as well as chemical dependency. The hospital also provides Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Chemical Dependency for patients who successfully complete their inpatient programs. This helps in transitioning them back to a normal and healthy life. All these treatment programs are devised by a team of highly qualified and experienced physicians and psychiatrists. Each patient is attached with a member of the psychiatry staff. Other counselors and physicians hold sessions with patients on an individual basis during the course of their treatment. Specialized treatment plans are devised for each patient to successfully take them towards the road to recovery.
