Overview of Integrity House

Integrity House is a behavioral healthcare center located in Newark, New Jersey with an additional facility in Secaucus. The treatment center was founded by the parole officer David H. Kerr in the 1960s and has been in operation since then. They provide rehabilitation to substance abuse victims and dual diagnosis support for those suffering from co-occurring mental disorders.
The facility started out in an informal setting with Mr. Kerr offering counseling to people suffering from chemical dependencies and having no formal rehabilitation center to attend. In the many decades since then, it has developed into a structured program. Currently, they serve about 2000 substance abuse victims every year.
Integrity House offers both inpatient and outpatient services a diverse clientele comprised of male and female adults. While outpatient treatment is comprised of long-term programs that are divided into three different structures, the inpatient program comprises of a short-term residential track and medically monitored detox facilities for those who need it.

Accommodation and Food

The treatment programs at the Integrity House are geared more towards the outpatient treatment than inpatient. Nevertheless, they do offer short-term and long-term residential facilities that include an on-site detox center and transitional living for clients that need them. This program is mostly for those clients who are at a higher risk of relapsing.
The long-term residential facilities are situated in both Newark and Secaucus making them accessible to a wider group of people. The short-term residential track called the Meadow Program, on the other hand, is available only at the Secaucus campus. Food is offered three times a day following a menu with healthy options alongside all day snacks.
Both campuses and the buildings comprising the residential areas are spacious with the perfect balance of sunlight streaming in and tree cover offering shade. Residents are accommodated in double story brick buildings that are airy and full of natural light to provide a fresh and healthy ambiance.
