Overview of Hope Haven

Hope Haven is the behavioral healthcare unit of the Rochester Regional Health. Founded in 1980, the facility is housed in the United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) which is located in the city of Batavia, New York. They provide residential rehabilitation for substance abuse victims drawing them from a wide age group ranging from children and adolescents to adults.
They also recognize the pervasiveness of co-occurring mental disorders which often cause or are caused by substance abuse. To combat this they provide dual diagnosis to treat underlying mental disorders. This ensures a fuller spectrum of treatment that aims to root out the symptoms as well as the cause of the disease that is chemical and alcohol dependency.

Accommodation and Food

The residential behavioral health unit of Hope Haven is housed in the Jerome Center of the United Memorial Medical Center. The residential quarters comprise of 20 beds in total that can accommodate both male and female clients. Clients are expected to share rooms with other clients of the same gender. Each room is furnished with twin-sized beds, bedside tables, closets for storage of personal belongings, and clean linens.
The facility also provides common areas to encourage socializing amongst residents which include sitting rooms and the cafeteria and kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with various types of breakfast foods that clients can prepare themselves according to their tastes. The facility provides a chef who is tasked with preparing lunch and dinner. A set menu is followed though special dietary needs and restrictions due to allergies or other health constraints are accommodated.

Treatment commences with an initial assessment that all clients have to undergo after admission. Hope Haven Amenities

The facility offers treatment for substance abuse and additional dual diagnosis support for co-occurring disorders in a residential setting. They are a co-ed facility that serves both adults and adolescents. These inpatient programs are more suited for those clients who require a structured approach to treatment and closer supervision to combat chances of relapse.
Outpatient services and aftercare support is not available at the treatment center. But for those who require it, a watered down program in an outpatient setting is available after completion of the residential program. Hope Haven also offers a Behavioral Health Crisis Center which functions as an emergency unit for mental health issues. Clients can walk in at any point see, IGN treatment for their myriad mental health-related issues without appointments being necessary.

They all provide every client in their care with diligent supervision and attention to ensure a smooth recovery. Eric Bieber
President and Chief Executive Officer

Eric Bieber assumed the role of president and chief executing officer at the Rochester Regional Health System in November, 2014. Before then, he had been serving in a wide variety of roles in many University Hospitals in several states. He has a bachelor’s from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University.

Robert Nesselbush
Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

Robert Nesselbush has been associated with Rochester Regional Health System for almost 25 years since he joined as the Director of financial reporting and accounting in 1994. Currently, he is the COO and Executive Vice President of the organization.
To this position, he brings a demonstrated history of engagement with the financial management aspect of the healthcare industry. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bucknell University and a Master of Business Administration in Public Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Janine Schue
Chief Human Resources Officer

Jennie Shue is a Human Resource management leader with long-term expertise in the field of healthcare as well as several other industries. She joined the Rochester Regional Health System in 2010 and is currently working as the Chief Human Resource Officer of the. In this role, she is in charge of managing and overseeing the recruitment and performance of all personnel at the center including its behavioral healthcare unit, Hope Haven. She has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Albany in SUNY.
