Pavillon Rehab Center offers alcohol and drug addiction treatment to adult men and women in gender-specific programs. It was founded in 1996 and since then has been providing high-quality services through the many programs that it offers. The mission at Pavillon is to help individuals create a deeper understanding of themselves and teach them tools that will help them achieve sustained recovery. Each patient gets an individualized treatment plan that provides an integrated approach to heal the patient’s mind, body, and spirit. The center treats not only alcohol and drug addiction but also related behavioral health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. Pavillon Center has a multidisciplinary staff of professionals who provide 24/7 services to their clients. The center offers inpatient, outpatient, residential, extended care programs and others. The 12-step principles provide the basis for most of the treatment models which also include innovative and evidence-based modalities and therapies. The family program offers support and assistance to clients and their families to help them cope. The center offers an extended care treatment program that provides several years of supervised recovery which increases the success rate of patients staying sober after completing the residential program.

Housing and Food

Pavillon Rehab Center is located on a 160-acre campus in the beautiful North Carolina Mountains. The campus offers breathtaking views and landscapes to its residents where they can feel the closeness of nature. The main buildings that are built in artistic stone and brick architecture are surrounded by lush green lawns, lakes, waterfalls, pathways, ponds, gardens, and trails. The center can accommodate 50 patients in the residential facility and 24 patients in the Extended Care Program. Two residents share a room which is beautifully decorated with wall hangings, lamps, and other decors. There are twin sized beds for each resident, side tables, desk, chair, and closets. Each room has an attached balcony which offers the gorgeous, outside views of the campus. Each room also has an attached bathroom. There are common sunrooms for residents where they can relax and bond with each other. Clients have a variety of options to indulge in outdoor activities and seek the healing power of nature. Residents are served delicious and healthy cuisines three times a day in the cafeteria. They eat together in the indoor dining room or outdoor dining area. The meals are prepared by the in-house chef who also accommodates special dietary restrictions or specifications of clients.

Pavillon Rehab Center offers a number of treatment programs to adults and young adults for alcoholism, drug abuse, and dual-diagnosis disorders. The cost of residential treatment for 30 days is $18,604 which can vary from patient to patient depending upon his/her individualized treatment plans. The center works with many in-network and out-of-network insurance coverage. The residential program at Pavillon Center is in-network with Cigna Insurance. The center accepts insurance reimbursements from many other companies the details of which could be obtained from the Admissions Office. The center strives to maximize the reimbursement for patients to make the treatment as affordable as possible.

John Roberts, MD
Medical Director and Addiction Psychiatrist

Dr. Roberts received his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He completed his Residency in Psychiatry and Fellowship in substance abuse and anxiety disorders at the Medical University of South Carolina. He is Board Certified in Psychiatry and has served an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. He has over 20 years of experience of working with psychiatric patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.

Barbara Bennett, MSN, RN, LNC
Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Bennett’s responsibilities at Pavillon Center as the Chief Operating Officer mainly include overseeing the daily operations of the center. She is a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse Advance Practice (CARN-AP) nurse and a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) in the state of North Carolina. She has served at various leadership designations of different behavioral healthcare organizations.

Brian Coon, MA, LCAS, CCS, MAC
Director of Clinical Programs

Brian received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in community-clinical Psychology from Bradley University, Peoria, Illinois. He is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, and a Master Addiction Counselor. His areas of expertise include cognitive behavioral psychology and co-occurring disorders.
