Heartview Foundation was founded in 1964. This facility is a private non-profit substance abuse treatment facility located in Bismarck North Dakota. Heartview Foundation provides a plethora of drug and alcohol education program. In addition to that, Heartview Foundation also provides outpatient and inpatient care for those who are facing substance addiction and co-occurring disorders. Since 1964, Heartview Foundation can boast to have treated over 24,000 patients and their families. They have patients from all over US and Canada who come to their facility to receive high-quality care in which this facility offers. They also have a team of highly trained staffs specialized in different functionalities. These include social workers, nurses, psychologists, doctors, counselors and chaplains, and they are dedicated to solving and treating chemical addiction illnesses.
They help patients achieve and maintain abstinence from substances or alcohol while also helping them find the way to a new and prosperous life.

Accommodation and Food at Heartview Foundation

Accommodation in Heartview Foundation is a well planned one. The co-ed residential treatment program is assigned 11 beds for their operations. Patients that are older than 18 years are paired in gender-specific rooms. These rooms are very much furnished for satisfaction and they all include a twin bed, nightstand, and lamps. The beds are decorated with very attractive designs and they all have wooden headboards. The rooms are also painted to suit the taste of its patients and a window is available to usher in rays of sunlight during the day.
Heartview Foundation provides kitchen staffs who are keen to prepare breakfast and lunch. Their dinner, however, is different from the others and it is provided to them by the Stanford Medical Center. These foods are eaten in the dining hall together. The breakfast menu may include scrambled eggs and bacon while the lunch menu may be sandwiches. The dinner varies and depends on their supplier, Stanford Medical center.
Patients also have phone privileges which are about 10 mins a day. Lights out take place around 11 pm weekdays and around 12 pm during weekends.

Treatment Options at Heartview Foundation

Heartview Foundation uses CBT primarily as their addiction treatment method which is an evidence-based approach and has proven to work well enough throughout the time this method is used. When one is administered, they receive a comprehensive assessment and most times referred to psychological testing. Suboxone is also provided as a Medication-assisted treatment to help those that are withdrawing from opiates. Those with extreme withdrawal cases are referred to a local hospital for their detox processes.
The treatment of patients often lasts for about seven weeks from the time they are admitted, and treatments also include 12-step meetings. The facility also offers PHP(Partial Hospitalization Program), IOP(Intensive Outpatient program) and also an aftercare program.

Kurt A. Snyder -Executive Director

Kurt has been the Executive Director in Heartview Foundation since 2005. He is a licensed social worker, a licensed addiction counselor and also holds a Master Degree in Management. He is very active in different states and regions, and also related to a lot of addiction organization. He is dedicated in his work as the Executive Director and so far, he has been doing a great job for the past 13 years now. He also works under the board of directors in providing clinical, financial, personal and technical oversee for Heartview Foundation.

Karalee Harper – Director of Day Treatment Service

Karalee Harper has a Bachelor of Science in Addiction counseling and a Masters in Management from the University of Mary. With almost 20 years of experience in the addiction or career, she is very qualified and also. Worked as the Chronic Disease Director at the ND Department of Health. She is responsible for the day-to-day treatment of patients and she supervises the addiction trainees and professional visitors. She joined Heartview Foundation on May 2018 and she has been doing a great job since then.
