Located in Columbus, Maryhaven is one of the best substance abuse treatment facility in that area. Maryhaven founded about 50 years ago, is one of the most reputable landmarks in Columbus Ohio. Maryhaven have successfully treated over 175,000 patients in the different continuum of care offered in the facility.
This facility is the largest and the oldest behavioral health center in the Columbus County. Maryhaven is funded and supported by various donors around the state from the United Way to the Ohio State University Medical Center. Maryhaven provides treatment services for both adults and adolescents including detox and extended care in their array of services. The facility operates two extended care inpatient programs for women through the women’s center. It has the AYA Program which is created for women of color and also has the Aster Program which is the original women’s track created specifically for pregnant or nursing mothers suffering from chemical dependency.

Accommodation and Food at Maryhaven

The patients who undergo the Aster Program live in a collection of nondescript homes which is brick sided and clinical in looking, located at the main Maryhaven campus. The Dan Cannon Hall residential program which is the main residential program for males and females is also located in the main campus and so is the adolescent residential programs. The adolescent male and females are housed separately while undergoing gender-specific programming. The teens undergo treatment at another wing of the facility’s campus, and they are also put through the Maryhaven School accredited by the Columbus City Schools.
The AYA treatment program can accommodate about 15 women and seven children for a period of six months. The location of this facility is unknown and not disclosed to the general public for legal reasons.
