Nova Behavioral Health is a drug and alcohol treatment facility that provides its services to adults and families for alcoholism, substance abuse, and dual-diagnosis behavioral health disorders. There is a specific treatment program for women which focuses on the unique needs and situation of women including pregnant and postpartum women. Women can bring up to two of their children with them during residential treatment. Quality childcare services are provided for these children during the time their mothers are busy in therapies and sessions. The center also offers an aftercare program for clients who have completed their residential treatment successfully. The program focuses on relapse prevention and helps clients stay sober through weekly individual and group meetings. Through holistic treatment approaches that address the physical, emotional, and psychological health needs of individuals, the center is able to help them achieve lasting recovery and maintain it throughout their lives.

Housing and Food at Nova Behavioral Health

The Nova Behavioral Health Center is located on a vast area of manicured lawns in Dayton, Ohio. The campus offers a peaceful and secure environment for clients to start their healing journey. It offers beautiful landscapes and views which help clients feel closer to nature. There are separate wings for male and female patients. The campus can accommodate sixty male clients and twenty female clients. Clients stay in rooms which are shared among two to three of them. Each room is furnished with twin beds, desks, and closets for each client. Female clients’ rooms have additional beds for their children. All rooms have attached bathrooms which residents share. There are gender-segregated common rooms which provide clients with a place for relaxation in free times. Clients can participate in various outdoor activities including sports, yoga, meditation, and other leisure activities. There is a unit where children of female residents are provided with childcare facilities and services. Food is prepared by the in-house team of chefs and kitchen staff three times a day. Food is served in the cafeteria and all male and female residents eat together in the dining room adjoining the cafeteria. Clients have a reasonable variety of food options to choose from including vegan, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian food.

All clients are assessed individually and treated according to their specialized treatment plan. The approximate cost of residential treatment is $9,750 for 4 weeks duration. The fee can be paid out of pocket or through insurance plans which are accepted by the center. The admissions staff provides clients with all relevant financial options to help them select the most affordable one. The center also accepts donations which are used to finance the treatment of indigent patients and families.
