Residents at the Windsor Laurelwood Centre are allowed to bring in various personal items that they may require throughout the duration of their stay. These may include items such as hair dryers and curling irons, seven days worth of clothes, personal toiletries, cosmetics, and cigarettes.

Incoming patients need to be careful about not bringing in any items containing traces of alcohol or drugs and electronic devices. Smoking is allowed in separate areas assigned for this activity and hospital phones are provided that allow even long-distance calls.

Dr. Theodore Parran is the medical director of the Program in Continuing Medical Education at the CWRU School of Medicine in Cleveland along with holding the position of the director of the Addiction and medicine program at Windsor Laurelwood. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Kenyon College and is an alumni of Case Western Reserve University, School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Baltimore City Hospital of Johns Hopkins University in internal medicine.
