Center for Therapeutic Interventions (CTI) is a comprehensive co-occurring outpatient counseling agency. It was developed with a purpose to make it available to persons with addiction and mental health or emotional problems to get comprehensive help, care, and support. CTI was founded 12 years ago as a counseling agency in two locations: Tulsa and Bartlesville, Ohio. They use a strength-based approach to show clients and their families that recovery is possible. Through their services, CTI aims to improve the quality of life of their clients and the community itself. It is their belief that all people have innate strengths from which they can draw in times of crises, but some people experience difficulties that require therapeutic intervention. Intervention and assistance by a professional are sometimes both necessary and beneficial for empowering and encouragement that a person with an addiction or mental health problem needs to recover.

Although this treatment center provides outpatient services only, they do a great job aiding their clients through the process of recovery, but also supporting their families. That way, CTI has a positive influence on the overall community which is incredibly important. The main goal of their services is to increase a client’s functioning, reduce symptoms, and prevent additional functional impairment. Each client is thoroughly assessed in order to determine the severity of their problem and to create an individualized treatment plan for their needs, strengths, and abilities.
CTI treats persons with a gambling problem, substance abuse problems, and mental health issues. Their substance abuse program consists of outpatient and intensive outpatient services with scheduled sessions that clients need to attend in order to complete the program and successfully achieve sobriety. As you’re already aware, the intensive outpatient program is suitable for persons who have just completed residential treatment or for those whose addiction doesn’t require inpatient treatment but it’s still severe enough to demand a more structured approach. The outpatient program is less strict, but still supportive, allows more freedom, and is ideal for maintaining sobriety.
All services are gender-specific, and families are encouraged to participate. The intensive outpatient program consists of nine or more hours of scheduled sessions a week but doesn’t exceed 12 hours. On the flip side, the outpatient program consists of eight hours of sessions a week or even less. It’s important to mention CTI doesn’t focus on 12-step approach toward recovery and sobriety, but it’s encouraged to attend AA/NA meetings in between sessions.

The official website doesn’t reveal much about all therapies that are provided to their patients. Clients attend both group and individual therapy sessions during their program. Family therapies are also provided because a person’s family plays a strong role in their recovery process. Evidence-based approaches are utilized so they focus on cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational therapy. Both forms of therapy are scientifically proven to work for different kinds of problems, including addiction.

Many services provided by CTI are free for clients who meet eligibility criteria. The treatment center has many contracts through the Department of Mental Health that allows clients to get some services without having to pay for them. They are also a provider for Medicaid, Title IXX, and Soonercare. Clients who are capable of paying for CTI’s services are expected to do so. Reduced fee or sliding scale is only set with verification of a person’s income. As far as sliding scale is concerned, besides income family size also plays a role in qualifying for this payment option.

This outpatient treatment center has various accreditations and certificates that testify about the quality of their services and the staff’s dedication to help clients and their families. CTI is accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), an international organization that accredits and certifies rehab centers based on their quality of service, dedication, program efficacy, and other parameters. This certificate is an alternative for Joint Commission. The treatment center is also accredited and regulated by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, and US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration Diversion Control Division. Additionally, CTI is a member of the Oklahoma Behavioral Health Association (OBHA) and State Chamber of Oklahoma.

It’s easy to assume that outpatient treatment centers don’t have many amenities to offer, but that’s not quite correct. Some amenities provided by CTI include the following:
