Accommodation and Food
The residential unit of Friends Hospital is located on the main campus itself. The residential program is designed to provide long-term treatment to clients who suffer from persistent and severe mental illnesses. The 24-bed residential unit comprises two houses, namely Hillside House and Greystone House. Clients are accommodated in gender-specific residential units. The residential program can accommodate 24 clients at a given time.
All residents at Friends Hospital are provided with medications, group, and individual therapies along with vocational and educational counseling. Both residential units are equipped with staff services 24/7. Clients have to share rooms with other roommates. A single room can be given to clients depending on their medical conditions. There is an enclosed outside courtyard in front of each unit.
All rooms are well-equipped with modern furnishings such as a cupboard, table, chair, dressing table, etc. Every room has a modern and bright décor to counteract the medical atmosphere of the hospital. Residents can play games and watch TV in lounges while they can relax in the courtyard.
When it comes to food, Friends Hospital has a great variety to offer. Meals are prepared by the kitchen staff three times a day. Clients are served with meals in their respective units. They can take their meals in a restaurant-like setting called as Recovery Café once a week if they are doing well.
