Springfield Treatment Center: Treatments, Programs, and Staff

The primary goal of the recovery at the Springfield Treatment Center is to help clients get back to their lives back and to treat the underlying issues that have caused the addiction.

An integrated approach to substance abuse treatment includes:

  • Educational sessions
  • Medication-assisted therapy
  • Individual counseling
  • Family therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • 12-step program
  • Recreational activities

Medically supervised detox is not available on-site. However, clients can undergo a social detox. Residential programs are gender-specific, and are mostly based on group therapies. The average duration of this phase of the recovery is 30 to 90 days.

Clients meet with their counselor on a weekly basis, while group therapy is held for several hours a day. Some of the topics addressed during therapy include:

  • Anger management
  • Trauma
  • Processing
  • Employment
  • Life skills

Family therapy sessions are held once a week, while clients are obliged to attend at least one 12-step meeting per week.

Intensive outpatient program, day treatment, DUI treatment, and aftercare services are available as a step down from residential treatment for both teenagers and adults.

Intensive outpatient program is specially designed for clients who cannot afford (for whatever reason) to take a break from work during their recovery. Therapy sessions are available from Monday to Friday in the morning, afternoon, and in the evening.

Day treatment provides the best of both worlds—comprehensive addiction treatment and family support. The treatment allows clients to get all the help they need during the day, while they spend the night at their homes.

Aftercare is designed to help clients who need additional support when the rehabilitation is completed. During this phase, patients are expected to apply the newly acquired skills and learn how to deal with potential drug use triggers.

DUI program is conducted to educate individuals charged with driving under the influence.

The staff of the Springfield Treatment Center includes nurses, psychiatrist, counselors, and therapists.
