The treatment programs are based on the 12 steps of AA so clients must be willing to participate in certain hours of weekly 12-step meetings and psychoeducational groups. Clients are offered a number of educational groups services including anger management and awareness as well as supportive aftercare groups for substance abuse and addiction. The center also has a Family Program in which members of a family are provided counseling and education to overcome issues such as behavioral issues, school issues, adjustment problems, grief, and other family struggles. The aftercare program provides support to the alumni of the center through weekly meetings and support groups.

CCD Counseling is located in Denton, Texas in a small house-like structure. The house is situated in a beautiful neighborhood with plenty of greenery and trees surrounding the facility. The center does not offer any inpatient services or a residential program, so there are no residential facilities for clients. The outpatient services enable clients to undergo treatment without having to leave their social and professional life. They can continue with their duties alongside receiving counseling at the center. The center comprises meeting rooms and therapy rooms where clients undergo different therapies. Director

Cindy has a Masters of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her areas of expertise include counseling adolescents and adults who are victims of sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, stress, and other issues. Cindy is a member of the American Counseling Association and the Texas Network of Youth Services.

Steven E. Jacobson, MSSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Steven has a Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas, Arlington. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC). His areas of expertise include couple counseling and family counseling.

Janie Lewis-Zygiel, MEd, LPC, LCDC
Therapist

Janie has an MEd degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling from the University of North Texas. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). She is a member of the National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals.
