Burning Tree Overview

The Burning Tree rehabilitation center has been founded by David Elliott, back in 1999. Since its opening, the Burning Tree rehabilitation center has successfully helped numerous patients battling substance abuse and alcohol abuse issues, as well as common mental health issues, to get back on the track in life. Because the Burning Tree rehabilitation center understands that recovery takes longer than a few weeks or months, it focuses on helping patients long-term.
That is why, the average stay at the Burning Tree rehabilitation center is 12 months, however, patients are advised to stay for at least 12 months more after that to ensure that any possible relapse is prevented in the future. The Burning Tree rehabilitation center is actually available in three different locations around Texas known as Burning Tree Lodge, Burning Tree West, and Burning Tree Ranch. While the Burning Tree Lodge and the Burning Tree Ranch accommodate only adult patients, the Burning Tree West accommodates patients age 18 to 28. As it has happened many times, patients can get transferred from one location to another, for example – they can be transferred from the Burning Tree Lodge to the Burning Tree Ranch and the other way around. Basically, the three different locations focus on different segments of the treatment and different cases, so patients are accordingly assigned to one of the three locations, based on numerous factors. Upon their arrival, patients are required to finish their detoxification process. Medication management is not available at the facility nor it is included in the price.
The Burning Tree rehabilitation center follows the 12-step recovery process and includes individual and group therapy sessions as well as family therapy sessions to ensure the best possible results. All of the staff at the Burning Tree rehabilitation center is highly experienced and has previously worked with mild to more severe cases of substance abuse and alcohol abuse issues. Relapse prevention has a huge role in the treatment process at the Burning Tree rehabilitation center. Relapse prevention teaches patients everything that they need to know about addiction and potential triggers. The family therapy session is in order on a regular level as well.

Burning Tree Housing

The Burning Tree rehabilitation center is located on three different locations around Texas. The Burning Tree Ranch accommodates 36 patients at a time, while the Burning Tree Lodge accommodates 30 patients at a time. Unfortunately, there is no information about the number of patients accepted at the Burning Tree West rehabilitation center. The patients are supposed to share bedrooms and bathroom with each other.
The main cafeteria is where they are served three meals a day, prepared not by professional cooks, rather the patients themselves under a close supervision of the staff members. As a part of the facility, there are special rooms and offices where the treatments take place. There is also a pool, on-site gym, yoga classes, a basketball court and horses running around freely as a part of the equine therapy done on-site.
