Housing and Food

The Coleman Institute was founded by Dr. Coleman in 1998. After his own fight with addiction and recovery from it, he decided to create a platform from where he could reach out to all those who were in need of help from addiction. He, therefore, founded the Coleman Institute which has now 12 campuses at different locations in the country. All branches are owned and operated by independent people. The campus at Richmond, Virginia is the headquarters which is run by Dr. Coleman himself. It is just at an hour and a half’s drive from Washington D.C. and the Virginia Beach. The center does not offer a residential program, so living arrangements for clients are not available inside the campus. However, the center recommends certain hotels and B&B facilities where clients can reside during their outpatient treatment at Coleman Institute. The facility consists of different units for different treatment programs. The counseling rooms and meeting rooms are comfortably furnished. The detox rooms resemble hospital rooms with all the required medical equipment. The clients are provided with meals during their treatment at the facility. The meals are prepared by the in-house chef and served in the cafeteria.
