Overview of WhiteSands Treatment Center

WhiteSands Treatment Center is a multi-licensed and accredited private facility that offers services to adults aged 18 years or older against alcoholism, drug addiction, behavioral disorders and dual diagnosis disorders. The center has two inpatient campuses and twenty seven other campuses that offer outpatient services throughout the country. The mission of WhiteSands Treatment Center is to become the leader in providing quality care and research-based therapies to help clients who are affected by chemical dependency and related behavioral disorders. The staff at WhiteSands is highly qualified and committed to their job of treating and empowering clients and helping them in becoming a healthy and happy member of society. The staff comprises of Board Certified Medical Doctors, Psychiatrists, Masters level Psychologists, Licensed Addiction Counselors and the Nursing Staff. The center offers intensive inpatient programs, outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs and relapse prevention. Through a set of historically proven therapies and treatment modalities, the center is able to instill in the patient a stronger sense of self, stronger relationships and life skills that enable them to prevent future relapses. Through this empowerment, clients are able to enter society with a rejuvenated mindset and a confidence that they can remain sober throughout their lives.

Housing and Food at WhiteSands Treatment Center

The WhiteSands Treatment Center is located on 4 acres of beautiful land in Fort Myers, Florida. It is built as a luxurious resort surrounded by tall palm trees and lush tropical landscape. Patients stay in custom built houses that have four bedrooms each. Each bedroom has two twin size beds and an attached bathroom. There are nine houses of such kind connected through cobblestone pathways. The landscape surrounding the houses is breathtaking consisting of streams, fountains, gazebos and green lawns. There are two swimming pools available for the nine houses. Each house has comfortable living rooms with sofas and flat screen TVs. A lanai porch in every house provides an outdoor sitting area for relaxation. Clients are offered luxurious services in the form of massages, yoga classes, salon services, and spa facilities. WhiteSands offers avenues for sports and outdoor activities in the form of a well-equipped gym, basketball court and barbeque cook-outs. Clients are also encouraged to participate in off-site activities which include trips to local beaches, parks, nature areas, bowling and movie theatres. Meals are served in a cafe three times a day. The cafe operates 24 hours and offers snacks at other times. Clients of all nine houses eat together in the dining hall.
