Oakdale Recovery Center Overview

Oakdale Recovery Center was founded about 25 years ago and during this time it has become well-known for the quality of its programs. The recovery center is a part of Hegira Health, a private non-profit organization that provides specialized mental health and substance abuse treatments. Oakdale Recovery Center provides inpatient and outpatient services and works closely with patients and their loved ones to ensure a successful recovery. Patients ages 18 and older, men and women, can do their 12 steps for alcohol and drug addiction treatment in a supportive setting working with an experienced and knowledgeable team.

Oakdale Recovery Center Housing

The recovery center doesn’t provide in-depth information about housing and accommodation. Three to four patients share a room which can be a good thing as it fosters the sense of community and mutual support. Each patient has their own bed and closet. Since it’s a short-term residential treatment it can take up to 10 patients at once. Detox facility separates male from female patients but some spaces are mutual. Each hallway has a mutual bathroom. TV and phones are not allowed.

Oakdale Recovery Center Treatment Options

Oakdale Recovery Center has five levels of care which are specifically created to help patients in need. Instead of using the “one size fits all” approach which proves to be inadequate, this treatment center strives to customize the programs based on the severity of addiction and needs of a specific patient. In turn, each patient goes through a program that fits them most which can only increase the likelihood of a successful recovery.
Treatment options that are available at Oakdale Recovery Center include:

  • Detoxification – offered to patients who require 24-hour medically monitored setting to safely manage symptoms of withdrawal. The average duration of detox treatment is between two and five days
  • Short-term residential – for patients who need a 24-hour monitored environment for relapse prevention and recovery
  • Day treatment – held from Monday through Friday and starts at 8.30am, finishes at 3.30pm
  • Intensive outpatient (IOP) – offered to patients who need more than traditional outpatient services to recover and maintain their recovery
  • Traditional outpatient – most suitable for patients who will benefit from individual, group, couples, and family therapy. Services are provided about once or twice a week

Therapies Provided at Oakdale Recovery Center

With a goal to help patients improve their mental and emotional health in order to overcome substance abuse problem, Oakdale Recovery Center included various therapies into their program. The main goal of these therapies is to work with patients on their self-discovery and inner peace which will make them stronger to conquer addiction. At the same time, these therapies also help patients function better once their treatment is over. Therapies provided by Oakdale Recovery Center are held in an individual, group, and family setting.
Each patient admitted to treating drug or alcohol addiction works one-on-one with skilled therapists on their journey toward a healthier life.
Group sessions are also useful because they allow patients to connect and understand they’re not alone. They work together and support each other all of which can lead to a more successful recovery. Family support is vital on the path toward addiction-free life so family therapy sessions are the crucial component of the program.
