Home of Grace Addiction Recovery is a faith-based treatment center that offers hope and recovery for individuals suffering from alcohol and drug addiction. Since its foundation in 1965, it has helped tens of thousands of individuals reclaim their lives. The mission at Home of Grace is to offer freedom from addiction through Christ-centered approach. The center’s vision is to become the leaders in providing treatment services by introducing Jesus Christ as a catalyst for hope, healing, and quality of life. This is achieved through a residential program, outpatient programs, worship and devotion, and adult education programs. Clients are offered therapeutic and spiritual therapies including individual and group counseling, work therapy, and community living. Special ministry events are scheduled along with the dynamic chapel and worship services that enable clients to establish a deeper connection with God through Jesus. This paves a path for them to start their spiritual healing journey which will lead them to their desired destination of everlasting recovery. Clients are also educated through GED classes to obtain a high school diploma for those who do not have it. They are also taught computer literacy skills so that they can advance their lives after the completion of treatment at Home of Grace.

Housing and Food

Home of Grace Recovery Center is located in the city of Vancleave bordered by Bluff Creek in Jackson County, Mississippi. The campus at Vancleave is reserved for male patients. It is spread across 30 acres of rolling hills that offers green lawns nestled between trees. All buildings are built in cottage style with a big cottage for treatment services and small cottages for living areas. Clients share rooms inside the cottages which are adequately furnished with single beds, shared closets, and sinks for clients. The attached bathroom is shared by the clients. There are private and group counseling rooms where counseling sessions are carried out. There are classrooms as well where different GED classes and computer classes are held. For client’s recreation, there is a media room with a TV and DVD player which they are allowed to use during their free times. Healthy outdoor activities of clients are also encouraged such as sports, walks, and meditation. There is a chapel in the facility for spiritual events and worship. Clients are served healthy and nutritious food three times a day in the dining hall where they all eat together. Meals are prepared by the in-house chef and kitchen staff.

Payment Options

Home of Grace Addiction Recovery offers a 3-month residential program to adult men suffering from alcohol and substance addiction through a faith-based approach. The cost of the 3-month residence program is $6,000. However, Home of Grace collects donations from churches, corporations, and other resources which enables it to offer a $3,000 scholarship to every client who wishes to join. So, the cost of treatment comes out to be $3,000 for 3 months which has to be paid in full at the time of admission. Since Home of Grace is not a medical facility, it does not accept any insurance plans.

Staff at Home of Grace

For over half a century, Home of Grace Addiction Recovery has been helping individuals from all walks of life to become sober and addiction-free through its treatment programs. The programs are primarily based on the teachings of the Bible and Jesus Christ. These treatment programs are carried out successfully through the help of a diligent, dedicated, and hard-working staff which strives to provide the highest standards of care to clients. The staff’s mission is to provide hope and healing to all individuals who walk through their doors. The staff members include licensed counselors and social workers who carry out individual and group counseling of patients. There is also a chaplain and other individuals who provide spiritual teachings to clients. A number of teachers are also employed who offer computer and GED classes. There is also a medical clinic at the facility where volunteer doctors and nurses provide their services twice a week. The staff also includes administrative personnel who are responsible for the smooth functioning of the campus. The support staff provides further assistance in this regard.
