Columbus Springs is a treatment facility located at Dublin, Ohio which caters to young individuals struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, mental health issues such as bipolar disorder and suicidal thoughts, and co-occurring disorders (dual diagnosis treatment). The facility provides programs in the form of inpatient (addiction and mental health) and outpatient treatment programs. The center also encourages its patients to engage in various types of holistic treatment like yoga, art therapy and musical expression as a supplement for the more standard style of treatment. Trained therapy pets are also offered to patients to aid them to escape feelings of isolation during treatment. In addition, the facility offers medical management programs in which patients are helped to achieve their best outcome from treatment, educational programs with an emphasis on wellness and fitness education, and an outpatient treatment program for children and adolescents intent on providing academic support and school collaborations. Accommodation & Schedules

During their stay, patients are required to bring along five sets of clothing for the duration of their two-week stay, medications they are currently on, nightwear and toiletries. Most essential and personal hygiene products such as soap, toothbrushes, and deodorant are provided by the facility. The patients are required to share a room with one other person, but every patient is given their own desk and closet. Dryers and washers are provided by the facility for patients to do their laundry. The treatment center prohibits items like video games, weapons, pornographic material or content and mobile phones for the safety and focus of the patients. Patients are also required to dress comfortably but should refrain from wearing revealing or offensive clothes. Meals served to patients at Columbus Springs are planned and prepared carefully and made to meet standard requirements for a balanced diet. Drinks and snacks are available at the facility. Visitation and telephone calls are also allowed at the facility. Usually, visitations are scheduled on two weeknights and one evening during the weekend for an hour. Family dinners are held on Sundays while telephone calls are scheduled daily for patients.

It costs around $1,050 per day (this is only a rough estimate) for the inpatient program at Columbus Springs (also known as Dublin Springs). The payment does not include doctor consultations and other fees that might be required. The payment made only covers feeding and housing. The facility offers programs for clients that are done with the inpatient program or clients not willing to stay in the treatment center. These programs are;

The Hospital

The treatment center is focused on helping clients find healing in the best possible way by discovering the best treatment for the client whether it be an inpatient or outpatient program. The intensive outpatient program involves 3 to 4 hours of group therapy which hold 3 to 5 days per week for about 4 to 6 weeks pending on the state of the patient and the amount of time they need. There is minimal medication management; this might be done, if at all, because of the patient’s health. Partial hospitalization is also a program that involves 5 to 6 hours of group therapy, and the duration is between 2 to 3 weeks, also depending on the healing speed of the patient. For medication needs, the patient will visit the psychiatrist 1 to 2 times a week. The hospital uses different therapeutic methods to treat patients; some of these include detoxification, stress management, anger management, and many more. Holistic therapeutic methods such as Art Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Pet Therapy, and Music Therapy are also used to help heal patients.
