The treatment philosophy at Nova Counseling Services is strongly based on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. The people at the center realize that recovering from addiction is a lifelong process and cannot be achieved without the professional and dedicated support from the center and its staff members. The center offers a comprehensive residential treatment program through which the underlying causes of addiction are identified and treated in the first phase of the treatment process. In the next phases, clients are provided with the fundamental tools of recovery and abstinence through which they are enabled to achieve lasting recovery and sustained abstinence. Clients are offered education on life skills development, coping mechanisms, and addiction recovery skills which help in healing their minds, bodies, and spirits. Clients are also offered holistic therapies such as individual and group therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and meditation through which they are able to achieve freedom, rebuild relationships, and put their health back on track.

Housing and Food at Nova Counseling Services

Nova Counseling Services is located on a beautiful campus in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It comprises a modern building with beautiful architecture surrounded by scenic courtyards and lush green lawns. The center has a capacity of 50 men and women combined who live in gender-specific rooms. Each room is shared by two clients and is furnished with twin beds, side tables, nightstands, and chest of drawers for each one. Bathrooms are shared among residents. The center provides basic amenities to clients including bed linen, towels, and bathroom accessories. There is a huge common room which comprises comfortable leather sofas, center tables, a fireplace, and beautiful wall hangings. The common room serves as a place of relaxation for clients where they can watch TV and socialize with each other during their free times. Clients are also provided with outdoor recreation facilities. They can take walks around the campus as well as play basketball and volleyball in the designated courtyards. The center has an on-site kitchen where a chef prepares three daily meals for residents. Meals are served in the cafeteria where all residents eat in its sitting area. Residents are offered a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at each meal time which include meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, fruits, and beans.

The cost of treatment is $5,600 for 28 days of residential treatment which makes the per-day rate to be $200. The center accepts cash, check, or credit card for self-paying clients. The center is also in-network with many insurance companies. Clients can check with their insurance providers if their plans cover the costs of treatment at Nova Counseling Services. The staff at the admissions office also helps clients and families in checking with their insurance companies and verifying their benefits.
